FCA Bylaw (ie instant fine regime applies)
http://www.westernbay.govt.nz/our-counc ... 202015.pdf

I'm not going to quote it here: but it is apparent that the council has addressed every single reserve in the district and, based on an honest appraisal of each, allocated it to either "prohibited" or "restricted (to CSC)" schedules. Both schedules are extensive,
Schedule 1 of Prohibited sites merely lists the site.
Schedule 2 of Restricted sites lists each site and also provides a detailed map of exactly where you may park. There are plenty of such sites listed.

While they have not made a default status of park anywhere not specifically prohibited, it's pretty damn good.

I give it 4 stars.
Pluses:
Every reserve has been addressed in what appears to be an honest manner (ie no NIMBYness is apparent)
There are lots of sites available
Minus:
There is no default of FC is allowed unless prohibited.

I think we'll spend a lot of time in this area :)

I spend a lot of time in the area - oh, that's right, I live here. As a ratepayer I am happy to see motorhomes parked up in our area.

Well after all that recommendation, we had better spend some time in that region in the spring of 2017 ;) :)

Cheers
