Hi all.
Copied x NZ Herald,
The global price plunged US$5 to a four-year low of US$72.76 a barrel. As recently as June it was around US$115.
That is roughly a 50% drop, have we seen the benefits ,yeah right !
a miserable 3 or 4 cents a litre ,still that is competition I suppose.
Regards Dave.

I heard on the news last night that some of the poorer oil producing countries ( ha ha yeah right ) want them to drop production to keep the price up. Greed just pure greed.

The other part to this story is the price difference between the North and South Island. Or more accurately the North Island where Gull is. There there is some competition. Meanwhile back in Blenheim, pump price at the Mobil last evening was $1.379. So the pricing of BP, Mobil, Z, Caltex etc is very very cynical.

Diesel is $1.37 at the pump here in Mosgiel, definately subsidising the North Island
