i have just 3 months ago bought a new jayco silverline and it has a dometic gas oven
The quiestion is ,when i drop the top cover plate it turns of the gas supply (safety no worries) but when i open the cover again the gas flows with no ignition, the same if i am heating up a pot and the wind blows out the flame ,the gas carries on comn through
The van has a current gas warent ,but is this regulation standard ,seems alot dangerous

Maybe the flame failure probes are not working? Regs or not, I have never owned, and would never own a gas stove without them.

I do not know the Dometic ovens but what you describe seems to indicate that the thermal safety devices are not working, take it back to the Dealer.

Gene is right on the mark, in my Jayco, fitted with a Dometic stove, unless the lid was hard back against the open stop, there was no way gas would flow, just bringing the lid forward a few mm's would completely shut off the gas. Make sure you haven't got a curtain or some other object stopping the lid from fully opening.

Definitely a fault as flame failure protection is legally mandated in all gas appliances now. Get it checked and replaced ASAP!

Thanks Alec
The thing is ,yes if you partly shut the lid the gas will shut off,but if you open it again all gas flows with no flame
