Well the Council has done its job, attracted more people to the region, got them to stay longer so they can spend more, two packets of noodles :-T
It's not the Councils job to protect other businesses.
Do they cap the number of Cafes, Hardware stores etc?.
Just spent 3 nights at Greymouth, the FC area at Cobden Breakwater, a relatively new area, toilts and outdoor toilets, up to 40 camper Van's of all sorts each night, no rubbish, toilets cleaned daily, rubbish collected daily even over the weekend.
Well done Greymouth.

Your quite right Vansvilla.. it's the council's job to attract tourists to the area and help provide some support to that, it's private businesses job to stay in business.. Maybe they could do a better job of that and look at their charges.. They still have something to offer but they can't be protected by council.
