Hi All,

Some of you will be aware the Council has adopted amendments to its FCA bylaw. Please follow this link for further information - https://www.nzmca.org.nz/news/minor-ame ... ct-updated

If you plan on visiting the Coromandel over summer then I would encourage you to read the updates and the bylaw (including maps) found on the Council's website - http://www.tcdc.govt.nz/Your-Council/Ne ... ect-today/

Happy travels and be safe on the roads :)

Cheers,
James

Thanks James, overall I think a fairly neutral adjustment. Thank you for your efforts this year and hope you have a well deserved break over Xmas.

Cheers, Dene

Gotta love the direct plug for NZMCA on their self certified definition.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the map of places allowed or banned, and the only other link is to a DOC site?

Hopefully they have a map like this one:
http://www.catlins.org.nz/userfiles/file/pdf-downloads/FreedomCamping_Clutha.pdf
Clearly showing the restricted areas and available facilities?

NZMCA are in fact the body that administers self containment.

If you open the first link that James provided and read down a bit there is a link to the maps.

So the "map"s shown here?
https://www.nzmca.org.nz/data/content/N ... 20res2.pdf

Sorry, but to me those are very specific airial photographs, vs the map I linked, which is a cohesive overview is the entire district area, enabling me to plan a route and use sites based on their location along that route?

Very good, perhaps you could email TCDC for a link to one.

So am I to take it that the shaded areas in those map are the places your allowed to stay, being it restricted or what have you.
