Hiace LWB

Postby Jip.C.Jaybird » Tue Jun 16, 2015 8:52 pm

What is the difference in length between a Long Wheel Base Toyota Hiace and the normal one?
What would be generally left out (re a camper) if you only had the shorter version?
What are the pros and cons of the two versions?
Thanks

I have owned both. The extra length is obvious if you look at the extra porthole window on the left side. Never measured but an estimate of perhaps 30cm.

The extra length certainly expands internal space noticeably allowing for more bench space, storage etc.

I would definitely chose the Extra LWB again for a camper.
Cons? None for me. It may not fit your garage. :D

Thanks for that. That is really helpful. 30 cm does not seem much (half a porta potti?) but it all adds up. A LWB was really important to me, but if we're only talking 1 foot, then that does not seem vital. No matter what space I expect I would fill it up real easy!
