No never been below 18 from full charge and full again by early morning with no lost till next night and as you say you can never have to much solar

IF these are the same batteries as Energy Unlimited

Then looking at the pdf file for the 100aH battery there seems to be some conflicting information about these batteries. Can anybody clarify further?

I'm having a lot of trouble finding anything that can charge these batteries.
All chargers that I have looked at so far charge gel at around 14.4v.
Redarc is 14.5v for gel, ctek 14.4.

They all say 14.4v is the normal charge for gel batteries. I wonder if we are
reading the recharge specifications too strictly.

"Cycle Service : 2.35 ± 1%V Per Cell at 20/25° C"
= 14.241v max.

I have asked energy unlimited.

edit: @markcraven, yes they certainly are the same batteries, the photo in the pdf is identical. I see the cycle voltage is listed at 14.4-14.9v!! now I am confused.
edit2: Found a close up of these batteries on Koyama's facebook page:

These are the ones made specifically for energy unlimited, as it has their logo on it. Note the cycle and standby in the picture are around the wrong way!

I think there must be voltage loss from the terminal to the cells. .1v would do it. (6x .1)
Seems like a lot, but oh well.

You might also want check the number of cycles at 50% DOD with them as the pdf seems to suggest a difference from the one on their website.

The data sheet at EnergyUnlimited gives the Float voltage as 2.25v/cell (ie 13.5 volts) and the Charge voltage as 2.35v/cell (that's 14.1volts) These are the figures I gave in an earlier post - but they may well turn out to be wrong. It would be good if they were inaccurate, because not too many chargers can be set to those figures.
My ProStar solar controller is locked in to a fixed Float voltage of 13.7v for example.

For some unknown reason, I am totally unable to download any of the .pdf data sheets at cbb-battery.com, but I was able to zoom in on a photo of a 150-12 (150Ah, 12v) battery there and could easily read the specifications printed on it. Charge 14.4 - 14.9v, Float 13.6 - 13.8v. Most any controller could deliver those.

I suppose it is not impossible that these batteries could have more than one manufacturer and that the battery specifications could sometimes differ.

If anyone is ready, willing and able to email me .pdfs of a very small selection of the datasheets that are available at cbb-battery.com, I would really appreciate a pm from them.

it shows energy unlimited's battery. The masked out name at the top is DUALCOM. You can see that on another picture I found.
So these are specifically labelled for them for the NZ Market. They show the exact same voltages
(ignoring the error that the label voltages cycle and standby are backwards)

I have found a chart that gives a rough idea of the relative performance of Flooded, AGM and AGM/Gel batteries.
The wide plots presumably cover the varying performance of batteries from different manufacturers.

AGM/Gel hybrid batteries offer a very cost-effective option for House battery use in the majority of RVs.
Lithium batteries are good for anyone needing very high charge/discharge rates or light weight.
Lead/Carbon batteries would be good for anyone requiring very deep discharge capability.
