Having just fixed a Thetford flush pump now the main water pump is now a problem. Posiflo model 3000-161-2301, ( 12v, 30psi, 10lpm) kept blowing fuse so pulled it apart:
Brush holder had become detached from end plate - appeared to be retained by 2 small Bakelite tabs and an epoxy adhesive - an improvised solution worked. However pump end eccentric bearing was also seized (and a small quantity of water in the same area) but I managed to free and lubricate this bearing to keep us going. In fact its quieter and working better than ever. Two questions 1) does anyone know if there is a pump overhaul and bearing kit available and where from? and 2) if not and I replace with a something like a SHURflo can you see any downsides? Tks >>>Hugh
