Sky card decoder

Postby roger » Wed Jul 29, 2015 11:18 am

I have got a ZeaTek 4300 HD satellte receiver with a smartcard slot.
The question is,
The receiver has a ca slot and when selecting smartcard options it asks for card type serial number and password. I am using a sky card and don't know the numbers to use?

We have a Skybox Decoder in or camper & the card ( My sky ) Goes straight in & plays So can't help there but can tell you that the chip on the sky card & the my Sky cards that we played with were in a different place & only a my shy card worked in our camper & also My Mother in Laws camper both had & They both have different decoders.

A simple google search for zeateck 4300 brings up the product specifications, which include this note "Note, The ZeaTek 4300HD will only accept Sky cards with serial numbers starting in '0000 2.......' or MySky cards, it will not work with any other type of sky card."

We have a skybox from RSE which works perfectly on the MySky HDI card

PS the picture of the zeateck looks exactly the same as a skybox so they are probably the same thing. If you have no luck, best to ask the retailer you purchased from ( why we chose to buy from RSE )

We use a mysky card in our Zeateck and works fine. It looks like a mysky card works but any other sky card won't.

Hi all I have a sky box decoder and when we try and get sky it tells us the signal is scrambled and on the sky channels there is a dollar sign besides the channel no.Well the wife rang sky and no joy there apart from paying another monthly fee and another sky decoder. I'm thinking I may have to go up to Auckland and see RSE and see if they can do something, it may mean I have to buy a new sky box off them and that's ok. The people who had the motor home before us said they just took the card out of there sky box from the house, put the card in and it was all good. My, mysky card starts with NZ45 any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers Grant.
