Attaching documents

Postby Mark » Thu Jun 14, 2012 8:17 pm

There have been a few occasions recently when people have wanted, and been unable, to attach a document file to a post.

On a trial basis, I have now released that restriction and you may now attach a document file (with the following extensions: ai, doc, docm, docx, dot, dotm, dotx, odg, odp, ods, odt, pdf, ppt, pptm, pptx, ps, rtf, xls, xlsb, xlsm, xlsx) up to a maximum size of 200kB to a post on any forum.

To attach a file, just click on the "Upload attachment" tab at the bottom of the Posting screen, Browse and select the file, Click Add file and then Submit.

If the file you want to link is available as a link on the internet, it's still better to just post the link (then it doesn't use any of our resources).
We'll see how it goes. If it starts to use up too much space, we may have to re-think it.
