I will have to correct you Brian :)

Perth ......... Light weight full height gumboot.
Marathon .... Heavy duty full height gumboot.
Red Band .... Light weight short gumboot. (Dairy cockies favourite)
Clutha ....... Short lace up gumboot.
Ashley .........Taller lace up gumboot.

These were the mainstay products from Skellerup footwear during the 70's and 80's when I was employed by Para Rubber (A subsidiary of Skellerup Industries in that era.

Really "Off Topic" now

I chose not to wear my Red Bands today while at Fieldays, a reasonable call as it turned out. Rained as we were leaving.

Decided not to stay a second night in the 288 paddock as I could forsee issues getting out in the morning. I spent a while chatting with the lovely couple who made the area available, sounds like it could be available again in the future.
Cheers, Neil

Chris, I always knew the short lace-ups as Bullers. A favourite of later-year deer cullers and would even take tricounis if carefully fitted. And with the obligatory drainage holes burned into the instep with a hot wire.

Cheers
