Does this camp figure in the NZMCA Directory? If so what is the ref. Number?
If not what is route from Twizel to get to it?

#8113 Ohau Canal Camp. Continue down past the NZMCA Park by the canal - It is situated immediately below The Ohau "C" Power Station and well signposted.

We spent last night parked behind the Twizel Combined Services Club. Great low cost meal and safe park for the much needed heavy rain that fell most of the night. Have moved on today to the Tekapo NZMCA Park. Will move on to Geraldine on Wednesday.

It is just as well we can be flexible and change our minds ;) We had four very sociable nights at Tekapo and ended up after sampling a Fairley Bakery Pork Belly / CW Crackle pie for lunch have bolted back to Weedons to begin the preparation to hand over our van on Sat 30th. I still have the drive through Tophouse Road / Rainbow Station to look forward to on our way back North after the van has been delivered.

I have been a little tardy  The caravan clean out and groom all went according to plan with the handover taking place at Weedons on Saturday 30th. All our belongings are carefully packed into the trailer I purchased on Trademe and successfully towed through The Rainbow Station Road and on over to Takaka on Monday. The road got pretty rough as we got towards the northern end so progress was fairly slow to minimise potential damage to the contents of the trailer. I am pretty keen to go back through in the reverse direction next year when we return. We head off back through Nelson and on to Anikiwa on Monday and will catch the 9.00 am Interislander on Tuesday and then back up to Hastings on Tuesday afternoon. The Jeep is very contented to be shot of the 3500kg++ lump it has had to contend with over the last four years.

Yes Mark, the weather and time of day certainly presented Lake Tennyson at its best :) The date / time stamp on the photo is an hour out as I had not re set my camera for the end of daylight saving.
