Hi All,
I'm considering a 2017 Toyota Hilux 4WD SR5 2.8DT DOUBLE CAB UTE/4 6AT Diesel Automatic as new towing vehicle for my caravan. Opinions good and bad would be appreciated. Currently tow it with a Ford Territory Diesel Automatic. Thanks John.

If it's an English type caravan the Toyota will be fine. If it is an Aussie type van the Toyota will not cut it.
I drive a 2018 new model Hilux at work nice to drive but lacks power. I own a Jayco caravan and honestly, I would not consider towing it with the Toyota as I am of the belief that it would not handle the weight especially on the hills.

I agree Warwick. There has been a big turnaround in the ute fleet with Ford, Mazda, Holden and Isuzu all producing a more capable rig for towing duties than the current Toyota.
