Yep - exactly the same on my current one. But I mean a setting to trigger the SOC reset based on a target voltage.

Having had this installed for a few days now I can happily say that it’s returning to 100% every day and not requiring the manual clear that the old one did each day.

My only negative comment would be mounting options. The mounting tabs are in line with the battery connector if trying to panel mount, and there’s no flange to hide a rough-cut hole. Small things though.

I did calibrate it. The voltage was spot on, but the current zero-point and multiplier were a little off. Had I known that these functions were there my old one probably would’ve worked fine!

Thanks for the the original writeup anyway Neddy, made the choosing much easier than haphazardly browsing aliexpress and reading a million reviews.

One month later and I am happy to report the battery monitor is still working perfectly. This monitor without calibration consistently reads within 1% SOC of my Votronic readout both up and down to at least the lowest level reached to date at 64% SOC.
I purchased a second unit mainly to have another head unit available.
One meter is placed alongside the Votronic in our living area and the other up front on the dash. As mentioned by Neddy 2 head units will not cohabit well but in my case only one is operational at a time. A perfect scenario for us. The rear gauge is turned on/off along with the router, TV box etc. while the front one is active while driving. Both are operating wirelessly and I have yet to observe any glitches.

My Votronic has already been relegated to backup display. It may even be removed one day. :?
I prefer the new one with all my desired information displayed on one screen without button pushing.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to add an inexpensive and in my opinion an excellent battery monitor. :TU

Just quickly, what side of the shunt should the chassis connection be?

The terminal farthest from the USB socket and small terminal block to chassis.

As Ben discovered do not attach the positive feed until you have attached and tightened all wiring to the large terminals. A 2A fuse in that positive lead would be good insurance.

This is not a new install but to a new battery in a different position. When things change, I am apt to get confused :oops:
So one connection from the battery negative to the monitor terminal nearest the USB and terminal block: all other connections to the other (load) end.
Yep, I have an in-line fuse in the monitor power lead.

Copied from another thread for those using the search feature and an attempt to keep it all together:

SOC percentage is more informative than Ah remaining for me. Ah requires the battery capacity known. Useful to me but meaningless to anyone else reading the meter.

This monitor at the touch of a button clearly displays the Ah required to fill. Mine is currently displaying 70.065 Ah and counting . The Votronic also requires button pushes to display required to empty (remaining) ;) currently 230Ah.

The monitor on the main screen displays the battery SOC percentage as a number and in bar graph format. For me that is more informative than the Ah reading on the Votronic.
The brain easily and instantly converts that 50% = 150Ah.

Battery voltage to .01V, current to .1A, battery temperature, SOC all on one screen. Volts, amps, accumulated device charge/discharge totals (Wh), instantaneous power (Watts) on the second screen all adds up to the perfect monitor for me.
The simple wireless installation and no multiple daily button pushes are added time saving bonuses.

I can now remove the Votronic battery monitor, wireless thermometer and 2 LCD voltmeters. :TU

This morning a dawn start with a 40% SOC reading on both monitors following 2 days of very wet weather. At 2.45 pm we arrived back following good sunshine for most of the day to find the Votronic display already at 100% while the Juntek displayed 95% with 36A going into the battery pack and still continuing 15 minutes later.
The Votronic algorithms do indeed appear to trigger a full state just a little early even with lithium.
