Hi all

Just trying to get my head around the requirements to get my van certified as self contained. The last big headache is the ventilation for the grey water tank. Currently both the grey water and fresh water are portable 20L tanks under the sink. In regards to the ventilation for the grey water I have some 10mm house and it sounds like I might be able to get away with running it up to above the bottom sink and then back down out the floor of the van. Can anyone confirm that this would be ok.

Thanks, Simon

Yep that is fine.
The purpose of the vent is to let air in and out the tank, without spilling waste if the tank overflows. Venting outside is required to stop smells entering the inside. By looping it under the sink, when the tank is full the sink will fill up.
