Off the topic of RV’s slightly but something tells me there will be an expert on here somewhere :TU
I have re-roofed my garage and have a new respect for roofers
There is a question I just cannot find an answer for on you tube to do with the roll top ridge capping end on a gable roof. Plenty of gen on hip roofs but nothing relevant on gable ends.
I know to trim the gable roll ‘bubble’ and fold in the ends to close off the gap but what do I do with the flat sections either side? Do I trim them flush with the (yet to be installed) end flashings or do I trim it over length and fold it down 90 degrees to weatherproof it. Seems that might not look too good to me. I’m thinking trim off flush and use a good sealant for water tightness. :TU
Appreciate any expert opinion.
Oh gosh I have just remembered how photos post cockeyed on this site but think you can still figure it out I hope

Thank you, I ended up having flashings made (each in two sections) which ultimately covered all of the barge board so I don’t have to paint them :TU

You have probley finished by now but fit the barge covers first with two corgations cover and 75 mm down over the barge board. Fold the end of the ridging down to close off the end and then cut the ridging from the folded end back on about 45 degre angle put say 3 to 4 rivits with sealent under The top of the ridging needs to have a tab on it and sealent.
Cheers Alan.
