Marg has a non negotiable hospital appointment on April 20th, so we will now be crossing back on 15th April so will be back in Christchurch over Easter now and will miss the show. :(

Ahh Great! I now have someone to blame for ruining a wonderful bit of jet boating water. The delta formed where the Ohau river entered Lake Benmore was a real blast for the bunch of young tearaways we were back bin those days. I vividly remember getting a special docket from the petrol station in Twizel when we filled the boats and all the spare cans that enabled us to claim back the road tax from the purchase!! Of course, none of this re bate fuel ever got poured into our cars  ;)

Yes, they were great days, used to shoot rabbits along the Ohau river flats were Lake Ruataniwha is, was on the last raft race down the Ohau river, and if I remember correctly I lowered the control gates to shut of the river and started to form the lake.
Daughter used to work at the Twizel service Station.

Over The Lindis Pass and on down to Cromwell where we were delighted to claim a spot at The Cromwell Town & Country Club car park overlooking the Kawerau Arm of Lake Dunstan. Fifth consecutive year we have managed to score a spot here. Hopefully the weather will clear for day two of Hydroplane racing. I will also check out Highland Park as this event is taking place over this weekend also.
