We thought it was about time to introduce something new to the nzmotorhome forum ;)

Below is a photo we have taken on our travels, can you guess where the photo was taken?

Feel free to ask basic questions which preferably can be answered with a yes or a no reply.

Who ever guesses the location can then post the next photo.

We have started off with somewhere on the coast fairly well known. Your photo can be of anything or anywhere in New Zealand, but try not to make it too obscure so that it is impossible for someone to guess what or where the photo was taken.

No prizes, other than to be next in line with a photo, so get guessing and searching through your photos for a suitable shot. If everyone enters into the spirit of the "competition" we should get some interesting photos and even more interesting "guesses." :) Smillie

Is it Fleur's at Moeraki?

Moeraki Harbour, popular eatery on the very end of the bay, right hand side.

Moeraki is 45min south of Oamaru, Moeraki has a very nice camping ground, another nice spot, just up the road is Hampden, camping ground down by the beach.

Yes, this is definitely Moeraki, as identified by the previous two posts. Fleurs Restaurant is a national icon. Fleur and her restaurant have featured in television docos and magazines. TV celebrity chef Rick Stein has even dined there, signing his name on the back of the entrance door, where you will also find many other famous signatures. Brilliant food and service. If you are ever down that way, a must to visit, although in the busier season, bookings are essential, particularly for weekend evening meals, so may require a bit of planning for these times. We dined there for my 60th birthday in 2008. Most recognised for their seafood dishes, for which Fleur even has her own quota for the fish to be landed at the back door of the restaurant.

So there is my two bobs worth.

That didn't take long, maybe I made the first one too easy :)

Yes, photo taken from the hill above Moeraki Harbour, looking down on Fleur's .

A great place to visit and yes you definitely need to book ahead. We were there this time last year ( Grant's 65th birthday.) We had dinner there and they kindly allowed us to park overnight in their carpark. Many people seem to visit the Boulders a few kms further north then not realise that if you take the turning a km or so further down the highway going south from the Boulders, this delightful little village is only a short distance off the main highway.

So, congratulations Mark, your turn to post a photo in "where is this" and get everyone guessing. Thanks everyone for your imput. Smillie
