firstly you will have to figure out if any Bedfords of your era came with powersteering,( I know NFM's did as we had one) if so then half battle won, you will need then to find a wreck with all the parts still on it ( doubtful) and then retrofit it to your vehicle.
You may see if you can find a setup of a R1113 Ford as it was a problematic setup BUT it will be damn near to what you want.
failing all that you will then have to see if you can retrofit a more modern vehicles powersteering setup into your bus, this will more than likely be expensive as it is not something that a backyard mechanic can legally do ( all modifications like this will have to be certified)
This is all based on that the bedford is a SB

I fitted power steering to my VAM. There is a bit of engineering required to get everything set up properly.

I suggest that you call Lance Cryer at Bedford Heaven, Puriri (near Thames) and talk to him. He supplied my conversion parts and has done this job.

I successfully fitted power steering to my VAM by using a power steering box and steering wheel from an Isuzu. I think it was either a Isuzu JRC or JCR truck that the box came out of. Anyway the truck had a 6BD1 engine. As I had already fitted an Isuzu 6BD1 engine to the VAM the power steering pump was on the engine.

Did the complete job ourselves getting any parts that had to be welded done by a certified welder and then had it all certified. The only machining I had to have done was to the Isuzu drop arm so that it threaded into the Bedford drop arm.

Go to the gym and work on your biceps and fore arms and don't ruin a perfectly well designed bus

Nah Razor. Once that PS is in, you wonder why you didn't do it earlier. Totally different bus to drive - for the better! Awesome!
