Our new shed based one bedroom apartment/bolt hole also doubles to some extent as a test bed for much of the home automation equipment that our son Ben (Gadget) markets.
All our lighting is dimmable LED and is powered by a small 48 volt (4 x 12.v 7 AH SLA) battery bank. Originally this bank of batteries was kept alive using a 48 volt power supply which for obvious reasons was not up to the task. The over all voltage was not high enough (needed around 56 volts). However, we did have a surplus 5 Amp CTek 8 stage 12 volt charger which was hooked up to one of the batteries with the other three relying on current distributed by one of these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/HA02-ba ... 4c4dfRlI30 which many of us are using for LiFePO4 cell balancing duties.
The end result is the four SLA batteries are being maintained at a perfect state of charge and equal individual voltages. Magic :TU
