I have a Cascade 2 GE water heater and when turned on it starts up ok. But after going for an hour or so it restarts again with a poof from the gas igniting . I think the gas supply is stopping some how as the starting red light comes on so it`s stopped, on restarting away it goes again for awhile then repeats the problem. I have cleaned the gas jet in the burner but that's all I can do as I don`t see a way to remove the burner for a good clean other than removing the water heater from in side. :?: . Any one have one of there`s with this problem, Pic`s of the outside burner, Thanks, Handyandy.

Hi Handyandy,
not to be a problem but as this is gas operated, you need to be a licensed gas fitter to touch it!!!
parts for this will probably need to come from over seas, unless you are luck a supplier has something
but it sounds like it is the jet assembly unit, and the control valve could be leaking

There is a company in Christchurch who sells refurbished burners etc for these. This looks very much like a Carver Rapide.
It is probably worthwhile investigating this Avenue further.

When I find out the company name I will post again.
