FWIW I have the Kingsquest.

Does what it says on the packet and I have only lost signal once - during a torrential downpour on the West Coast.

There were three main factors that made me go with it:
1 - it was sealed and I liked the idea of having all the moving parts under cover
2 - It was on special at the time
3 - I liked the idea of never being able to accidentally leave it up ;)

Regarding the King Quest dish - does anyone know if it works out-of-the-box with Optus D1? and if there's any way to configure it to occasionally lock to Optus D2 ?
It’s pre configured to lock onto D1 (Freeview) and there is now obvious way to lock onto D2

Sorry a bit late to the party.
RSE had the Samy auto dish on special a while ago and whilst still expensive it is a very flexible fully featured product.
Will do both satellites, 12/230v via adapter , auto retract when tow vehicle started, 54cm dish so no dropouts, the list goes on and on.
Check out the RSE website for more info.
