We have done lots of caravanning over the years, now it's down to I, so I have sold the caravan and bought a Toyota van that I want outfitted. So far cant find anyone to do the carpentry work. Does anyone have suggestions who may help please. Anywhere from Nelson to Christchurch. Thanks.

Whats your budget - viewtopic.php?t=12372 could be worth a read.

There are a few companies that fit out RV's - "The Design Coach & Body Company" in Hornby come to mind. Closer to home a boat builder may be prepared to take on a van fit out. Even for a small vehicle a commercial fit-out starts at $20K.

Google "campervan conversions christchurch" gives a couple of options.

Thanks for responding. I live in Nelson tasman region. My van is probably in the same class as the freedom campers in size. I just want a bed, small kitchen, already have porta pottie all up to self containment standards. Nothing fancy , my female carpentry skills are very limited, hence finding someone to make up a few items for me. Thanks

You should have a look at the Mitre 10 mega stores as they have kitset like cabinets that may do the job. Check out their laundry style units too. Just make sure you talk to a csc inspector prior to doing anything to get the rules right for small Vans.. rules are strict now. :TU

Find out if you have a "mans shed" in your local community. An offer of a a few cold beers might work some magic. :D
