Have a well deserved ale or vino Chris.

Looks like our ute & van gone..
Thanks Warwick. Timely sale of your rig - Just in time for the new beast. We may get to see it briefly in Christchurch on our way home. Will have a quiet drop of red tonight to help celebrate your sale. ;) :)

Expect early morning fog at St Anaud, temps in low teens. Sun burns through around 9.30. Early morning Dew.
A & P show here in Murchison this weekend.
Fuel at St Anaud not cheap but you can use your Kiwi fuel card. Not a bad price in Murch at the Mobil station. I saw $2.09 for 91 yesterday. Didn't see Diesel.
Check out Lake Argyle on your way up.
WN signal good at St Anaud.
26 deg in St Arnaud this afternoon and a blustery westerly. I topped up the diesel at Riverlands Caltex at $1.169 this morning - That should easily get us back to Murchison tomorrow afternoon - It may even get us to Motueka after hitching the van back on on Thursday.

Big day on the road today. Left St Arnaud at 8.00 AM - Two of us travelling in convoy and headed off through Rainbow Station to Hanmer Springs. About five hours including about 45 minutes stopped at various locations for photo opportunities. Following a quick lunch stop, it was a relatively easy drive back over The Lewis Pass through Springs Junction, a quick catch up with John and Lorraine (Vansvilla) at Murchison NZMCA Park then back to St Arnaud.

Now based at Patons Rock, near Takaka in Golden Bay. We are lucky that a local resident has allowed us to camp on his spare bit of land next to his house. This is a strictly "NO camping," very elite settlement on a an absolutely stunning beach. We will enjoy this idyllic paradise until Wednesday when we are booked on a 4WD bus excursion on Farewell Spit.https://www.getyourguide.co.uk/collingw ... r-t261017/
Although we are currently having some very welcome rain today, the outlook for Wednesday is looking spot on.
