The Trademe shop "Micromall" appears to have some pretty sharply priced solar / battery gear, but only list this one LiFePO4 battery so far. I would love to get my hands on one and perform an exhaustive capacity test. If it is half as good as the seller claims it still represents amazing value. The seller commented that there would be a range of "drop in" replacement batteries. This 270 AH one does not fit that category ;)

I note that this unit is not listed on the Micromall Web Page.

The way I interpret the spec sheet is the capacity is 270 AH measured using a constant 30 Amp load.

The physical cabinet size is too small for 270 Ah - But way to big for 30 Ah.

"Drop-in" Lithium batteries are popping up all over. Here is another one :-
https://itechworld.com.au/products/120a ... um-battery
It has a capacity of 120Ah, yet has this disclaimer :-
"Storage battery only. Can not be used as a cranking battery"
In my book, if it can't be used as a cranking battery, it can't be used to run a microwave, a Nespresso machine, or any other high-current device. On the face of it, it looks as though these new "lite" Lithium batteries can not handle heavy discharge currents as well as AGM batteries.

Sorry but "Capacity: 270Ah" @ c13.2V of LiFePO4 chemistry into a container 290 x 270 x 214mm (17l) will not fit. 160Ah maybe.
Perhaps 270Ah @ 3.3V (cell voltage) which equates to 67.5Ah @ 13.2V.
A huge box for "Amp Hour Rating: 30.0Ah" and very expensive!

"reach 80% 80,000 deep cycles times.". That would be a long test to confirm.
Exaggeration is rife in Australia especially for lead acid batteries. It appears we may be following suit.

They do look the part though. :TU
Time to ask the seller a few questions.
