The actual number 100,000 was not really the important part. It was really emphasising the fact that the growth is still on a roll. We joined in 2001 with number 15589 so over 84,000 new members in 19 years. No doubt the numbers game will alter when the swell of baby boomers slows down and they start to drop off :-T for one reason or another. ;)

A member has recently joined this forum with a NZMCA membership number higher than 100800. :TU

Reading the latest MC magazine, I was suprised to read that the 100, 000 NZMCA member will be chosen from a draw of existing members, attending five various rallies around NZ at the end of October to " win the right to be allocated the 100,000 number", along with a set of golden wings.

To me, surely the 100,000 member should be the 100,000 member that joins, not somebody who is a existing member.

I know if I was the 100,000 member and did not get a mention I would be a bit peeved.

However, I also read that 1,200 ( :Y ) bottles of wine are to be dished out at the rallies happy hour (240 bottles each), so it indeed will a happy hour.

I verified the NZMCA status of a new forum member on October 13th with a number exceeding 100100 and then the new member with the number exceeding 100800 today. The growth is still phenomenal :TU

I hope the number of new parks to be opened up can keep up with this spectacular growth. We as an association should be scurrying around buying up large in real-estate for future parks. :TU

Stunning growth, although no surprising hearing about the volume of sales of caravans an motorhomes. Could make for an interesting (in all ways) summer with the number of newbies on the road.
