New model Votronic meters now have four different Lithium programs. These relate to the terminal voltage that you have your charging protocols set to. This may well improve the accuracy. My solar controllers taper off the current at around 99 % and have usually dropped to one or two amps each by the time my 300 AH battery bank reaches 100 %.

That is interesting thanks Chris.
I am happy with both meters and it was the first time I had noticed greater than a 2% differential.
The accuracy of either is unknown and even a sustained variation of ±5% would not phase me too much for a consumer device especially on the $40 product.

How have you guys panel-mounted these? The power connector seems to be right in line with where the panel sits, and there's no flange to hide my messy cutting! I ended up printing a surround and siliconing it over top, but keen to see what others have done.

Ben, I just mounted mine onto a thin steel plate which I then screwed onto an oversize hole.
Crude, like Neddy, but not nearly so effective (that's me: not the job, in this case):-)

Does that mean you have a 3D printer? Impressive.

Yes he does Mark. These are the mounting brackets he made for the satellite decoder / recorder for our new caravan. Pretty handy machine (for those who know how to make it work :-T )

Has he tried printing a Rutherford engine? I imagine you could download the file from Pirate Bay.
On second thoughts, maybe it wouldn't work so well in plastic? (thermoplastic??)

There are some pretty tough compounds available, but I think that the heat generated by a Rutherford Engine may well be just a bit over the top. :-T :D
