Tourism NZ kindly referred me to the location of a file that I was able to manipulate to get these site locations into a GeoKiwi-friendly format, so they have now been added. Becausehe locations are from Tourism NZ they should be accurate (ie they have not been entered by "the public").

We have found the visitor centres a great starting point to find good things to do in an area, although we believe they are slowly becoming more commercially oriented - and thus less likely to know about free things to do (like walking and biking). It very much depends on the staff at each site.
