Good point Brian. From what I understand, a large majority of the Camp Grounds that joined the Camp Saver Scheme are smaller regional family run businesses and this may well be a life saver for them if it is promoted.

Well a quick trip today from Otaki to the Masterton A&P Showgrounds.
Now hunkered for at least the next month for just $10/day. Showers, laundry, water etc. Netflix may get a thrashing.

Good news Neville. There are plenty of worse places you could be weathering this unprecedented event. You will enjoy the benefit of that wonderful 27" TV :TU

Try ask your local school!

The local school have offered me free wifi and unlimited water and power if I’ll be their onsite ‘security’.

Win/win as schools close down for the next 4 weeks and are full of valuable tech and limited security :TU

OK - I have negotiated “2 only” parking spots at Awakeri School for “on-site security “ during this period. Phone Principal now - that is within next hour!!!! No exceptions - 2 only NZMCA member vans, CSC. Good luck.

Well done Brian. :TU Hopefully there will be takers. We have met the occasional traveller who obviously can't afford to pay full campground fees for the next month or six.
