been with Motor Caravan Insurance (now Covi) since 1993 and have had 5 claims no problem all sorted within 24 hours. You must remember Covi is our Insurance and we as a club benefit greatly. As to other outfit $80 dearer . My breakdown cover is with AA, $100 insurance. one claim in Gentle Annie to Taihape and then home - no problem.

The Tribute I spoke of is not a car . It is a brand of English Motorhomes being sold here. I understand the Master agent is Merit Rv in New Plymouth and 2 other agents, one in Ashburton and the other in Silverdaie. Sorry I should have made that clear.

I have just received my Covi Insurance renewal.

I have read in various magazines that Covi with match any other quote, but "only for new policies". What are yours thoughts on this?

I will get quotes from the competition and if they are more competitive then I will consider changing.

When I got my motorhome about 18 months ago I got a quote from Covi and also some other insurers.

Covi was by far the dearest and by a significant amount (in 100s), so didnt go with them.

My latest Covi premium was $132 more than the opposition. The opposition also included roadside assistance.

I have received a quote from the competition and it is about 17% cheaper. After a quick comparison between the two policies, they have similar inclusions and exclusions, but in general the cheaper quote has higher dollar value pay outs.

Looks like I maybe changing companies.
