We brought a caravan late last year and the bed (converted couches) are too firm. We have one of the foam (like egg carton) squabs but it is still rather uncomfortable. Anyone have any good ideas of what we can try?

Been there, done that too!
After trial and error we ended up buying a double foam mattress from Para Rubber (the thickest we could get). We tried it without squabs underneath but it was more comfortable on top of the squabs. We now get a great night's sleep!

Strangely enough I threw out the foam mattress and got a modern air mattress. It's lighter in the vehicle and very comfortable, you adjust it to how you like. I have a bad back and find it better than our King size bed. just a thought.

We had same prob. As previous posters we went to para and brought best memory foam pad.
This goes down on top of squabs with a fleecy overlay from home on top.
Find this comfortable and warm...and I have bad back and bone pain.
Bit of a hav storing it in the cabover etc but the payback is worth it.

Its just playing around with what works for you.
Good luck

We bought a memory foam topper pad from Trade Me. Made a huge difference to our bed.
