We've just acquired a VW LT35 motor home, and it needs two more seat belts on the bench seats at the back.
We've found a couple of fitters in Auckland (we're in Tauranga). Anyone know of good and/or affordable fitters/certifiers closer?
Does certification differ since we need a WOF, rather than a COF?

I know one owner just looked into this for his motor home.

Firstly - no such thing as cheap and seat belt, sit down before he gives you a price.

The requirements are different for WoF and Cof - to the point of absurdity. Can't remember the exact details by my dads motorhome (on a WOF) was quoted at around $2700 per seat. It would have only been $1800 if it was on a CoF, can;t remember the details but it was around strengthening requirements for the supports. The ludicrous thing was the weight of installing the WoF compliant belts would push the vehicle so close to its 3500kg GVM it would need to be re certed at a higher GVM (with supporting suspension changes).

Probably don't need to say he did not go ahead.....

with prices like that no wonder some people break the law and dont get them certified,makes honest men into law breakers,and please dont start a discussion on how insurance companys wont pay out in case of an accident,most proberly know and are prepared to take the risk.

We had work done on a civilian bus .2 new belts fitted ,then certified cost was just on $2k .
This was due to changing front seats as they only had lap belts .
This was about 4 years ago.

Should also fail COF as well, regardless of costs vehicles should be legal at all times, if you can't afford it then maybe you should not even own one.

Hi Murray - the belts are for bench seats (at the back) running fore and aft.
There is already one lap belt on one bench seat.
