I had simmilar problems with a 50amp charger, that was just out of warranty but had only been used less than 7 times due to build of motorhome. To make it worse it had to be returned to the maker for repairs, bue to the capacitors not having any values on them, and the manafactuer refused to supply a circuit board, so my local radio tech could fix the burnt out parts.
I'm interested about the fact that you didn't know what caused the water damage to your charger, We had a similiar situation in our 'bus. In fact we blew up two chargers. There was obvious water damage on the circuit board and I presumed it had begun as a leak in the roof. I couldn't pin it down so built a cover (converted a sistema plastic container actually!) over the unit to protect it.
Then one day by accident the truth emerged. It was steam from the kitchen kettle finding its way through a gap in the dividing wall and condensing on the steel charger cover. We remedied it by sealing the gap and just being more careful with the kettle steam. Perhaps your cause was the same!
