Ha! Just going through the same process with my 3 month old I-phone 6S. Battery started discharging itself and getting hot. Didn’t take a full charge. Was answering a call from Andrew when my ear started getting hot followed by call cut-off and a prompt message on screen advising phone shutting down for overtemperature protection of battery. Straight into town where I stood my ground for a loan-phone whilst new phone was away being tested. Alison’s I-phone (bought same date as my old one) is also expiring but may go Android for her replacement. A lot of energy in a mobile phone battery just waiting to escape (along with the smoke) so you have to pay a bit of attention when they start getting warm. Cheers.

Busy cutting, drilling and grinding 24 alloy brackets for the four solar panels. Lithium batteries in. TV bracket mounted. I have a two week wait for the custom water tanks to arrive so should have all the other tasks completed by then. Amazing the progress made without phone call interruptions. A constant stream of visitors this afternoon did halt progress.

Forgotten what ‘friends’ are like when you’re not on the road now?
Very few knockers in a MH camp, perhaps we need ‘open for visitors’ signS on our van doors

I can relate to the excess heat Brian. In August 2017 I slipped on the greasy boat ramp at Clive and ended up up to my neck in very cold water !! 10 minutes later while taking my jetboat for a quick test run I got this burning sensation in my pocket. iPhone 6 battery having a very quick discharge. Phone destroyed ! New phone will be 24 months old and out of warranty next month. ( It has already had a battery replacement !)
